When building or reviewing courses in the Edovo platform, it’s essential to know how your learners will experience the content. The “Ignore Lesson Requirements” feature lets you choose two different ways to preview your courses—either as an admin with no restrictions or as a learner with all lesson preconditions enforced.
Below is a simple guide to help you understand and use this option effectively.
How to do it:
Uncheck the box next to “Ignore lesson requirement.”
Uncheck the box next to "Skip required content"
What happens:
You’ll experience the course exactly as an incarcerated learner would.
All lesson requirements, such as completing every page or activity, will be enforced.
You must complete each page or interactive element before being allowed to move forward in the lesson.
Use this option if:
You want to test how learners navigate through the course.
You need to verify that preconditions, like page completion or required activities, are working as expected.
Leave the box checked next to “Ignore lesson requirements.”
Leave the box checked next to "Skip required content."
What happens:
You’ll be able to jump between any pages without having to complete previous content.
Preconditions and required interactions are skipped so you can quickly review or edit content.
Use this option if:
You’re editing or reviewing a course and don’t need to complete every step.
You want to quickly spot-check specific pages, media, or interactions.
Always preview as a learner at least once before publishing a course. This ensures learners won’t get stuck due to unintended preconditions or navigation issues.
