TLDR: The Cliff Notes Version of the Publishing Process

TLDR: The Cliff Notes Version of the Publishing Process

For our friends who need a checklist : )

FIRST THINGS FIRST: Decide if your content is passive or active
(aka you're giving a learner one thing to do or multiple things to do)
Passive (single-piece content)
Active (a multi-section curriculum)
Passive (single-piece content)
  1. Books (PDF's, we don't take ePubs)
  2. Videos (mp4's compressed to 480p)
  3. Podcasts/Audio files (mp3's)

What it looks like on our platform to learners:

Active (a multi-section curriculum)
  1. These a built using our Editor tool
  2. They contain multiple sections/lessons
  3. Each section can have multiple pages with videos, audio files, image files, text, PDF's & questions
  4. A better choice for accessibility (different learners can engage with the content in ways that suit their learning)

What it looks like on our platform to learners:

  1. If passive, prepare your items in your spreadsheet (copy and paste content links from Google Drive or Dropbox and add title, description and content type info).
  2. If active, build your content in the Editor (you'll have login info and can build and preview inside that tool).
  3. Once any of your content is ready, alert our team using the Support Request Link
  4. Wait for a reply (we're a small team)
  5. We'll tell you when someone has it queued up for screening and uploading.
  6. Wait for a reply (see note above about being small)
  7. We'll tell you when it's live!
