Edovo Analytics: Getting Started with QuickSight
Welcome to our onboarding guide to the Edovo data analytics platform, QuickSight!
QuickSight is an Amazon Web Service that provides you with faster, more secure, and robust data analytics for tracking engagement and program participation from incarcerated people within the Edovo Learn platform.
To gain access to QuickSight to view data analytics relevant to your published content, we'll first need to invite you to create an account.
- If you have yet to published content onto Edovo, hang tight! We'll work with you to get you the right level of access once your material is live and available to incarcerated learners.
- If you already have published content on Edovo and are looking to understand what QuickSight can provide, checkout our information article on [Article on the tiers of access available via QuickSight]
Step 1: Receive and Accept your QuickSight invitation
Working with your Edovo Content representative, a QuickSight invitation will be sent to your email account to begin the account creation process.
Please note:
- The QuickSight notifications may occasionally go to your 'Spam' folder. Please check there if you haven't received it shortly after our confirmation of your account invitation being sent.
- Within your QuickSight invitation email, you will be invited to the Amazon QuickSight account "edovodemo". Rest assured, this is indeed our production and live instance of QuickSight and is coming from us. We are unfortunately unable to change the name of our account (thank you AWS!)
Step 2: Setup your account
Enter in your secure, but memorable password, looking to follow QuickSight's password requirements:
- 8 - 64 characters in length
- Contain at least one from each of these categories:
- Lowercase letters (a-z)
- Uppercase letters (A-Z)
- Numbers (0-9)
- Non-alphanumeric characters (~! @#$%^&*_-+=`|\(){}[]:;"'<>,.?/)
- Be case-sensitive
Step 3: Sign in to QuickSight
Enter in your username and/or email when prompted, as well as your password to continue ahead to access your analytics dashboard.
Please note, if you are asked to enter an account name, our QuickSight account is "edovodemo" (again, we unfortunately cannot change it - thank you AWS!)
Step 4: You're all set!
You now should be on the QuickSight main dashboard, where you can find your assigned analytics dashboard.
