Once a learning resource (like a PDF, video, or audio file) is uploaded to Edovo, it’s securely stored within our platform—ready for learners across the country. But what happens if you need to make an edit? Here’s what to know about modifying learning resources post-upload, and how to plan accordingly.
Yes, you can update learning resources—but each update counts as a new item.
All updated files go through re-upload, review, and approval before being published.
Plan your publishing cadence to account for potential edits or updates.
Edovo operates within correctional facilities—which means we work under some of the strictest digital security standards out there. In order to keep everyone safe and maintain compliance, every file must be uploaded natively to our secure system.
What that means for you:
We can’t just “replace” a document or video the way you might on Google Drive or a typical LMS. Every new version has to be manually reviewed, approved, and re-published. That’s why updates are treated as new content items.
If you need to modify an existing learning resource:
Add the revised file as a new line item on your Edovo-provided spreadsheet
Submit your updated PDF, MP4, or MP3 to the Edovo team using the standard upload process.
Go through screening and review
The file will go through the same approval process as any new content to ensure it meets our quality, safety, and formatting standards.
Replace the old version
Once approved, the new file will replace the old one in our secure system.
Yes. Because each update is treated as a new upload, it will count as a new item that you will be invoiced for.
And if this update pushes you into a higher hosting and maintenance tier? We’ll adjust your billing accordingly and send you a heads-up with the new totals, so there are no surprises.
Bottom line: You can make updates anytime—but if you're trying to stay within a certain budget or item cap, it’s worth doing a final pass before hitting “send.”
We get it—edits happen. But to save yourself time (and maximize money), we recommend:
Reviewing all resources carefully before submission
Checking for typos, broken links, or outdated language
Asking a colleague to test the material before sending
Updating your content? Totally doable. Just remember: every update goes through our full screening and approval process and counts as a new upload item. If you’re looking to maximize your publishing cadence and make the most of your hosting & maintenance fees, aim to finalize your materials before you hit “send.”
