Why are learners earning Points? What can they be used for?
What are points?
What earns the most points?
Points are earned at the highest rate in courses: points are awarded for:
- Time spent within a course "lesson"
- Each correct "quiz question" answer provided, and
- Bonus points are awarded for completing a lesson successfully.
The more the learners concentrate and engage in a course, the more points they will ultimately earn.
What's the point... of points?
Points are a way for learners track their own personal progress, set goals, and target point totals to encourage their learning. In our core model, points cannot be traded or spent, and instead are a way for Learners to see an overall engagement number to reflect their time on Edovo. Often we see pods or units have competitions for who can earn the most points or complete the most courses. We love to see the competition
However, there are premium modules that can be deployed in which use either these or a similar point models as an award system toward entertainment options, given the significant costs to deploy this model it required additional funds.
