Release Notes: The New Edovo Editor

Release Notes: The New Edovo Editor

A fully redesigned Editor is here.

The new workspace is cleaner, faster to navigate, and built to help you manage large content libraries with less friction. Here's what changed:

Key Feature Updates

A Total Refresh

  1. Modern Workspace: A clean, light-themed interface reduces visual clutter so you can focus on the educational impact of your content.
  2. Unified Navigation: A persistent left-hand sidebar lets you jump between your Content Library and Analytics instantly.
  3. Streamlined Content Management: High-density list views replace the old Content Cards, making it easier to scan and manage a large library at a glance.

Content Library & Organization

  1. List View Overhaul: See Title, Type, Status, Language, and Last Updated date all in one row.
  2. Status Badges: Color-coded "Published" and "Unpublished" badges make content status immediately visible.
  3. Quick Actions: A new three-dot menu gives you access to management tools without leaving the page.

Enhanced Course Editing

  1. Integrated Info Screen: Edit your content details and lesson info on a single page. No more jumping between tabs.
  2. Live Preview Card: A real-time Content Card Preview shows exactly how your course will appear to learners on their devices as you edit.
  3. Built-In Image Cropping: Crop and rotate course thumbnails directly in the editor to get the right fit without switching tools.

Simplified Lesson & Page Building

  1. Consolidated Lesson View: See all lessons in a course in a single list, with quick-glance stats on page count and quiz questions per lesson.
  2. Easy Preview Access: Launch Lesson Preview directly from your lesson list, not just from inside the Page Builder.
  3. Redesigned Page Builder: The Page Builder now uses a light-themed, high-clarity layout with improved visual hierarchy across the Pages panel, Canvas, and Item Sidebar.

What's Next: 2026 Content Editor Roadmap

These changes lay the foundation for what's coming next. On our roadmap this year:
  1. Richer metadata tools: Add to content series, tag keywords, and surface metadata that helps learners find and enjoy your content.
  2. One-click content submission: A simplified workflow to move content from draft to review.
  3. Standalone media uploads: Publish video, audio, and PDF files directly when you want to provide supplemental resources without building a full course.
  4. Built-in video compression: Videos are optimized on upload for reliable playback across facility tablets and network conditions, so you can focus on content quality instead of file specs.
