Together, Edovo and the Gift of chess aim to provide an equal opportunity to learn chess and benefit from the many life skills the game cultivates. Playing chess provides incarcerated men and women a positive way to spend their free time, the chance to improve their decision-making skills, and ultimately aid in rehabilitating and reintegrating back into society. Some courses include:
Game strategies such as:
Starting the Game
Middle Game Ideas
Fighting for Control of the Center
The Four Move Checkmate
World famous chess matches:
Bobby Fischer
Anatoly Karpov
Vasily Smyslov

In addition to providing over 20 chess courses that cover all skill levels, Gift of Chess has partnered with Edovo to provide chess sets to our facilities to help provide a hybrid learning experience.
